UPDATE: New Zealand Chapter

How adorable are these hand drawn patchwork bags by Cathy at the New Zealand Chapter. LOVE! Teresa

Some new bags cathy has done with her doodling on the fronts. I especially love the wise owl.

Photo Finish Friday

Pic from my girl's trip to CA. We went to this tennis tourney.
Just bought a salmon at Costco, may have to try this.

Cool, I didn't know this. Little Girl walked out. Something needs to be done.

I'd love to try this. How difficult do you think it would be to refill an empty one?

These are lovely.

This is hilarious and something my kids would love.

These are gorgeous.

I'm still playing catch up from my girls trip from Sat-Tues so it's no surprise that Friday snuck up on me. I plan to be very lazy tonight. I have a pot of minestrone soup in the crock pot so that dinner is a no brainer and piles of laundry to work through while I watch NCIS on Netflix. Low key for sure. I'm also finishing the binding on the baby quilt I showed you in this post. I promise to take finished pics, it's looking good! Big Girl has been here for the week on spring break from the University. It's been nice having her around even if she is recovering from a nasty cold. Poor thing. I hope you have a great weekend and I'll be back here on Monday! XOXO--Teresa

I needed some green this morning, you too? Taken last summer at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens. The snow has melted and we are left with grey and brown. And…those shamrocks!!!
Way to go LEGO!

These look interesting. Anyone tried them??

Wow, these are cool.

My family would adore me if I made these.

And this too.

I need to make some scones again. These are some of my all time favs!

Guess what? I'm going on my first girls trip EVER this weekend! Three buds and I are flying to California for the Indian Wells tennis tourney (Serena!!!). I'm so excited I can barely stand it. We are only there for a few days but I'm looking forward to green, warmth and tennis. Yay! I hope you have a lovely weekend. I'll be back next week. :) Teresa

Workday Wednesday(s)

Oh my goodness. It has been forever since I posted a WW. It's not because I'm slacking off, quite the opposite. Between alterations, bags and general life I keep forgetting to take photos to show you what I'm up to! Luckily I have a few to share…

A few weeks ago I made a cute tennis bag for a lucky lady. How adorable is that fabric?
I finished a quilt top for a special baby. One of my former colleagues from the University is expecting his first baby (a boy) this summer. I couldn't be more thrilled for him. They are doing a safari theme and I happened to find this organic fabric! The photo shows the blue to be more turquoise but I was actually happy that is was a baby blue as I could use this Harmony fabric in between my pieces. Yay! It's at the quilter now and I made a few other things to go with the quilt that I will share at a later date.

And, just this week a friend came over with her 2 sweet girls (4th and 5th grades) to pick out fabric for custom made lunch bags. So fun to make with the cute patterns they chose. The glasses! I did do black on the bottom of that bag as their mom and I were concerned it would get filthy otherwise. Then again, these lunch bags can be thrown in the washer and dryer with no problem.
I even added name tags inside so they don't get lost!

And, as I stated in my post yesterday, I have updated my TeresaMade shop with a whole lot of loveliness and fun. And, if it looks easy, it's really not. First, I have to make all the pouches, then photograph them, edit the photos and finally post all of it in the shop. I added over 100 items so it took a while! What are you up to? Teresa

TeresaMade Shop Update

Photo by Gary Moore, a pilot who lives in my neighborhood. I live in a heart!!
Love this!

This really needs to be my goal this year. Maybe if I start planning now.

Ooooh, I need to make this!

Great idea for old jeans. Even use the pockets! (sew them down so no tripping though!)

I'm so happy to learn that I live in the heart in the photo! Seriously made my day! :) Lots of sewing for me today including finishing a quilt top for a super special baby. I'll share pics next week. Also, there is an 80s theme birthday party coming up in my neighborhood and lots of dresses need altering. Off to sew. I hope all of you had a great week. Hugs from windy Colorado--Teresa
